Occulte, oculos pascens in aperto.

This is tomblog 2.0 - I made a brief abortive attempt at a blog about six months ago. In retrospect I realize that it failed because a successful blog would require interesting topics, some what consistent effort of some kind, and good writing. Hindsight being 20/20 it was obviously a fool's errand, at least for me. I have however found a way around this problem: 1) keep the rather unenlightened, facebookesque compulsion to over-document and over-share the trivium of living my life 2) subtract all those pesky words and the many burdensome requirements they bring with them (the aforementioned material, effort and skill), and finally 3) add the increasingly serious hobby of photography and BOOM! Photoblog! Problem ostensibly, temporarily solved.

For the first few weeks I am probably gonna throw a few posts out here with the highlights from the past couple years, just 'cause I feel like it. I also plan to start up a Flickr account soon which I will use to supplement this little photoblogging endeavor. I will try to keep things here as trim as possible by making the posts cohesive in some manner whether it be incidental, narrative or thematic, et cetera. Meanwhile I will post everything that turns out well over on Flickr, with pertinent details and technical stats where applicable if I'm not to lazy. Any and all feedback or comments are welcome/encouraged short of excessive abuse (that isn't clever or funny). KA-KOW!
